Aldo D Fabregas, PhD

Dr. Aldo Fabregas is an Assistant Professor in the Engineering Systems Department at Florida Institute of Technology. Dr. Fabregas has a Ph. D. in Industrial and Systems Engineering from the University of South Florida. He has over 8 years of experience on diverse transportation related projects including traffic simulation, ITS technology selection, and transportation planning decision support systems. Prior to his transportation experience Dr. Fabregas accumulated over 5 years of manufacturing systems and quality experience through consulting and work experience. His areas of interests involve manufacturing analytics, intelligent transportation systems, and energy systems. His research involves system design assisted with model-base systems engineering (MBSE) and operational network analytics with applications in manufacturing and transportation. He has authored conference and journal papers for the Transportation Research Board, IEEE among others. He also authored a textbook in discrete-event simulation applications in manufacturing. Dr. Fabregas is a certified systems modeling professional.
