Chris Davey
Senior Manager, Ford Motor Company
Chris Davey is a Senior Manager of the R&A Systems Engineering, Safety & CAE group at Ford Motor Company. He has over 25 years of real-time controls and embedded software experience across all automotive domains including highly distributed on/off board systems such as the Autonomous Vehicle and Transportation Operating Systems. Mr. Davey joined R&A - Ford of Europe developing Control Systems and Software for collision detection, avoidance and stability safety systems. He also led the technical developed and applied Ford’s first MBSE process, methods and tools solution for controls design and auto code generation. In 1993 he joined Ford North America as a Powertrain Control Systems Engineer developing real-time, embedded solutions for Gas, Diesel, OBDII and Safety Systems applied to all global products. Mr. Davey also spent time in Vehicle Program Development, launch, and manufacturing teams. He spent 10 years in the Electrical Electronics and Systems Engineering group where he led the development and roll-out of the global In-Vehicle Software release and Systems Engineering Management systems. More recently, he has led the Application of Systems Engineering on Ford’s Autonomous Vehicle Program, Electrification Programs and ADAS projects.
