Chris Massa
Principal Member Technical Staff - Draper
Since joining Draper in 2011, Chris Massa has supported or led several tasks related to commercial space programs and the Navy Trident program in the areas of software development, simulation, systems engineering/system modeling, and integration and test. For the past three years, Chris has focused on developing Draper’s MBSE capability by creating models of various systems, and supporting other engineers engaged in model development tasks. He also contributes to the Draper MBE Initiative IRAD program, and serves as the Draper representative to the Navy Systems Engineering Transformation System Modeling IPT. Before joining Draper, Chris worked in various contributing and leadership roles at OrbitalATK, Boeing, and AeroAstro, developing and launching spacecraft and launch vehicles. He received his Master of Science degree from Stanford University and Bachelor of Science degree from M.I.T., both in Aeronautics and Astronautics. He is an INCOSE Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP), a board member of the New England chapter of INCOSE, a member of the AIAA Systems Engineering Technical Committee, and a member of IEEE. He is also active in the development of SysML v2.
