David R. Jacques, PhD
Professor of Systems Engineering Organization, US Air Force Institute of Technology
Dr. Jacques holds a Ph.D. and M.S. in Aeronautical Engineering from AFIT, and a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Lehigh University. A common theme spanning his research projects is that he enjoys collaborative, interdisciplinary projects that tend to focus on system effectiveness and/or value as opposed to specific technologies. While at AFIT, in partnership with faculty from the Aero and the Electrical Engineering departments, he has developed methods and algorithms for improving the multi-agent effectiveness of munitions and UASs through inter-vehicle communication and cooperation, as well as auto-routing algorithms for threat avoidance. Presently, he is leading research in the area of effective multi-vehicle control for flexible reconnaissance and surveillance operations.
