Presentation Abstract
MBSE Application to Environment, Safety and Health
MBSE offers a productive way to incorporate ESOH (Environment, Safety and Occupational Health) considerations into the earliest stages of system development and to expedite reviews over the system lifecycle. Given the disparate tools and data sources used, an efficient approach to model federation is critical.
We will present an example based on the environmental systems of a cruise ship using Syndeia, the MBSE interoperability platform from Intercax, to interconnect models in Cameo System Modeler and tools for requirements, design, simulation and project management. Features of this toolset facilitate identifying, accessing, sharing, querying and documenting ESOH-critical information.
Within this example, we will demonstrate how Syndeia uses SOTA graph pattern-matching query languages to identify extended chains of connection across multiple tools and repositories. We will also illustrate how OpenMBEE, developed by NASA JPL, uses Syndeia services to display connected model elements in a versatile user interface.
